Description
An attenuator is used to safely extend the dynamic measuring range of your oscilloscope. Put another way, an attenuator allows the user to measure signals that are above the scope’s normal measuring ability without the risk of damaging your equipment. The displayed data will be 1/20th of the actual signal. This is beneficial when measuring fuel injectors, primary ignition, etc.
