This resistance substitution box offers a convenient way of selecting and quickly changing resistance values, without needing to attach individual resistors one by one or having to keep different resistors in stock.

Primary uses would be testing circuit wiring, control module response to different resistance values, gauge operation, etc.

The automobile resistor simulator is a very useful tool for simulating, checking and testing all kinds of resistance values found in a vehicle. You can choose between a wide range of resistance values, from 0 ohm to 30,000 ohm (30Kohm) with a resolution of 5 ohm. The required resistance value is chosen using 3 rotary switches. Because of this, the necessity of maintaining a stock of resistors, changing one resistor after another and having to decode their color code are gone.
